The Danab and Gorgor Commandos of the Somali National Army carried out planned security clearance operations in areas under Raage Ceele district in the Middle Shabelle region, aimed at safeguarding civilians and stabilizing the wider area.
The operation was led by the 10th Battalion of the 18th Gorgor Brigade, according to the Deputy Commander of the 18th Brigade, Col. Khadar Ahmed Abdi, who confirmed the details to the media.
Forces focused specifically on the villages of Gayfo, Boscadur, and Yonbar, located of Raage Ceele district. During the operation, troops conducted mine-detection sweeps to ensure the safety of roads and key locations frequently used by civilians and commercial vehicles.
