Somalia’s Immigration and Citizenship Agency launches roadmap for efficient, transparent, and citizen-focused services in 2026
The General Director of the Somali Immigration and Citizenship Agency, Mustafa Duhulow, officially launched the preparation phase for the agency’s 2026 Operational Plan, themed "Efficient, Transparent, and Quality Service Delivery."
The launch event brought together HSJ’s Deputy Directors, agency advisors, department heads, branch managers, office directors, and field inspectors. Mr. Duhulow emphasized that the initiative provides a platform to align the agency’s vision, assess previous achievements, and establish realistic goals and priorities for the upcoming year.
Speaking at the event, the General Director highlighted that the 2026 Operational Plan will focus on enhancing service delivery, improving administrative efficiency, and ensuring that citizens’ needs are addressed promptly and effectively. The plan aims to strengthen accountability, responsiveness, and the overall quality of immigration services nationwide.
The launch marks the beginning of a structured approach to modernizing agency operations, streamlining processes, and ensuring that Somali citizens experience fast, reliable, and high-quality immigration and citizenship services throughout 2026.
