Mogadishu Mayor Dr. Hassan Muungaab visits fire victims at Digfeer Hospital.
The Governor of Benadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), on Monday visited victims of a fire incident at Digfeer Hospital, where members of a family injured in a residential building fire are receiving treatment.
The fire, which broke out on December 3 in a multi-storey building in Howlwadaag District, claimed the life of one girl and left 11 others injured, some of whom remain in critical condition.
During the visit, the Mayor met with hospital management and medical staff, receiving updates on the patients’ health and ongoing treatment.
The Benadir Regional Administration has provided the affected family with medical assistance and support, with plans underway to transfer some of the injured abroad for specialized treatment. Mayor Muungaab said the regional administration will closely monitor the family’s condition and continue to offer necessary support.
The visit was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Communications, Hussein Ahmed Culusow, along with other officials.
