The President of Jubaland, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, held a morale-boosting meeting with U.S. AFRICOM special operations officers deployed in Jubaland, recognizing their contributions to regional security.
During the meeting, President Ahmed Mohamed Islam expressed gratitude to the officers for their cooperation in training, operational support, and counterterrorism efforts against extremist groups, particularly in recent operations that successfully targeted Al-Shabaab in various areas of Jubaland.
The President commended the officers for their bravery, professionalism, and close collaboration with Jubaland security forces. In recognition of their service, he presented them with Medals of Honor and Certificates of Appreciation, highlighting their critical role in supporting multiple aspects of Jubaland’s security and stability.
