Mayor of Mogadishu oversees distribution of medical equipment to 16 health centers.

The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), on Saturday led an official ceremony to hand over medical equipment to 16 health centers across the districts of Banadir Region.

Speaking at the event, Mayor Muungaab said the medical equipment is vital to improving the quality of healthcare services, particularly for mothers, children, and other vulnerable groups. He emphasized that the Banadir Regional Administration places special priority on public health and will continue strengthening support for district-level health facilities.

The Mayor highlighted that improving access to essential medical services is a key component of the administration’s efforts to enhance social services and meet the healthcare needs of residents in Mogadishu.

In his closing remarks, Mayor Muungaab instructed district authorities and health center management to use the distributed equipment responsibly and efficiently to ensure that communities in all 16 districts of Banadir Region benefit directly from the initiative.

The handover reflects the Banadir administration’s continued commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving service delivery across the capital.
