Somalia’s trade minister meets Banadir business leaders to discuss economic growth and investment

The Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Jamaal Mohamed Hassan, today held a meeting with members of the business community in the Banadir region.

The discussions focused on addressing challenges hindering business growth, creating an investment-friendly environment, and developing effective strategies to strengthen both domestic and international trade. Special attention was given to improving local production, boosting exports, and promoting the growth of domestic industries.

Business leaders presented potential opportunities for cooperation in imports and exports, emphasizing their key role in driving economic growth and job creation.

Minister Jamaal emphasized that the Ministry prioritizes working closely with the private sector to accelerate commerce, industrial development, and overall economic progress in Somalia.
