Somalia’s minister Hassan Macalin welcomed in London during United Kingdom visit

Somalia’s Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hassan Macalin, received a warm welcome in London during an official working visit to the United Kingdom, where he met members of the Somali diaspora and discussed key national priorities.

The reception, attended by members of the Somali community living in the UK, highlighted strong diaspora support for the Federal Government of Somalia and its ongoing efforts to advance governance and institutional development. Participants expressed appreciation for the government’s reform agenda and reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to the country’s progress.

During the engagement, Minister Hassan Macalin provided an update on the overall situation in Somalia, with particular emphasis on the ongoing process to finalize and adopt the Provisional Constitution.
