Somalia’s deputy prime minister meets Mogadishu residents to promote electoral participation
Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Salah Ahmed Jama, met with residents from across Mogadishu to encourage voter registration and participation ahead of the elections scheduled for the 25th of this month. He emphasized the government’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and secure elections.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Salah Ahmed Jama, last night met with community representatives from various districts of Mogadishu to discuss the importance of public participation in the upcoming elections scheduled to take place in the capital on the 25th of this month.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister urged citizens to obtain voter cards in order to take part fully in the electoral process and fulfill their civic responsibilities. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that the elections are free, fair, and conducted in a secure and peaceful environment.
Residents who attended the meeting expressed their appreciation for the government’s efforts in preparing for the elections and maintaining security across Mogadishu. They voiced confidence in the ongoing process and pledged their support for initiatives aimed at strengthening democratic participation.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Hon. Abdirahman Yusuf (Al-Adaala), along with other government officials.
