Somaliland Development Fund (SDF) delegation visits Aroori Livestock Research Center
A delegation from the Somaliland Development Fund (SDF), led by the Denmark Ambassador, visited the Aroori Livestock Research and Fodder Center in Togdheer to assess the progress and impact of the project.
A delegation from the Somaliland Development Fund (SDF), accompanied by the Denmark Ambassador to Somaliland, today visited the Aroori Livestock Research and Fodder Production Centre in Togdheer. The team was received by the Minister of Livestock and Rural Development, Omar Shucayb Mohamed, together with Togdheer Governor Mahmoud Saleebaan (Ramaax).
The visit focused on reviewing the progress and impact of the Aroori Range Project, which was previously funded by SDF to support livestock research, fodder production, and pastoral development. The delegation inspected the facility’s operations and examined how communities continue to benefit from its services.
Officials from SDF expressed satisfaction with the improvements made and assessed opportunities to strengthen productivity and long-term sustainability. The Minister praised the partnership, noting that the project remains vital for boosting livestock health and supporting pastoralist livelihoods across the region.
