The Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), Abdulqaadir Cali, chaired a high-level meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Stabilization Efforts.
The meeting focused on strengthening coordination and collaboration among government institutions engaged in stabilization initiatives, particularly in recently liberated areas from militant groups in Lower and Middle Shabelle regions. Officials discussed assessing current needs, prioritizing interventions, addressing existing challenges, and accelerating ongoing stabilization activities.
Representatives from various government agencies emphasized the importance of unifying efforts, setting clear priorities, and aligning ongoing operations to ensure effective implementation. They reaffirmed their commitment to advancing national stabilization programs to achieve lasting peace and facilitate recovery in liberated communities.
The session highlighted the Somali government’s continued dedication to promoting security, restoring governance, and supporting socio-economic development in regions emerging from conflict.
