The Standing Committee of the House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia held an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday at the Leadership and Committees Hall in Villa Hargeisa. The meeting was chaired by the Speaker of the House of the People, Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe), accompanied by the First Deputy Speaker, Ms. Sacdiya Yassin Haji Samatar, and the Second Deputy Speaker, Abdullahi Omar Abshirrow.

At the opening of the meeting, Speaker Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe) briefed the committee members on the activities of the House and encouraged them to strengthen the work and initiatives under the mandate of the Parliament.

The Standing Committee members discussed agendas aimed at advancing the work of the House, including the scheduling and organization of debates and proposals. After thorough deliberation, the committee finalized decisions regarding the items to be presented to the full House for consideration.

The session emphasized the importance of structured planning, coordination, and timely presentation of parliamentary business to ensure effective legislative processes and the smooth functioning of the House of the People.
