The Independent Constitutional Review Committee held a preliminary consultation on the Finance Chapter with the Office of the Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The meeting, chaired by the Committee’s Chairperson, Burhan Aden Omar, focused on matters related to the Auditor General and how these will be addressed under the Finance Chapter of the constitution.
These preliminary consultations are part of a broader engagement process, as the Committee plans to meet with all financial institutions to gather input and discuss the Finance Chapter, which is closely linked to the Federal Finance Agreement.
The initiative highlights the Committee’s commitment to inclusive and informed constitutional review, ensuring that key financial oversight mechanisms are clearly defined and strengthened.
