Two Kenyan university students who went missing days ago have claimed that they’ve joined Islam state group in Syria.
The girls who disappeared last Wednesday from their homes in Kenyan capital Nairobi have confirmed to their relatives through social media that they are in Syria.
According to Kenyan local newspaper The Standard, the two friends Salwa Abdalla and Twafiqa Dahir who are residents of Nairobi’s South C Estate left their homes on Wednesday afternoon and have been missing since then.
The two were students at University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University respectively before their departure.
If there case is confirmed there will be the first Kenyan nationals who joined Islamic state fighting in Syria.
Their parents described their daughters as disciplined children and who had very few friends.
