In what can be described as a response to Al Shabaab increasing attacks inside its territory, Kenyan fighter jets have for the second time in a week strike suspected Al Shabaab base near border town of Beled Hawo.

Residents in the border town along Kenya-Somalia border have said they have seen Kenyan aircrafts hovering in the area.

The casualties regarding the attack is still unclear.

Earlier this week Kenyan jets also bombed Al Shabaab base near Bardere in Gedo region.

Al Shabaab attack on Mandera governor convoy last week killed three people.
