The conference, organized by the African Union (AU), focuses on strengthening youth leadership, promoting innovation, and enhancing young people’s role in peacebuilding, governance, and sustainable development across the continent.
Officials noted that the summit serves as a crucial platform for African youth leaders to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore collaborative initiatives aimed at accelerating Africa’s progress under the AU’s Agenda 2063.
Mohamed Ali Siad’s participation underscores Somalia’s growing engagement in regional youth affairs and its commitment to empowering young people to play a greater role in nation-building and continental development.
The summit features panel discussions, policy dialogues, and networking sessions centered on leadership, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and peace and security, key areas seen as vital to Africa’s future growth and stability.
Under Siad’s leadership, the Somali National Youth Parliament has been instrumental in advancing youth inclusion in governance, promoting civic engagement, and advocating for policies that address unemployment and other social challenges facing Somali youth.
