At least one person and three people were injured when an IED exploded near the former Digfeer hospital in Hodan district of the Somali capital Mogadishu.
The explosion had targeted a private vehicle carrying Somalia National Army soldiers.
“The landmine had been planted near the road. A student had been passing by and was killed” an eyewitness told Radio Dalsan.
“Three soldiers were injured” he added.
Although no one has claimed responsibility the attack has the hallmark of the Alqaeda linked militant group Alshabaab.
