Somalia’s Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development Mohamud Beenebene has in Wednesday held meeting with a high delegation from the Swedish Embassy in Nairobi led by Martina Durrer at the Ministry’s Head Quarters in the capital Mogadishu.
The meeting majorly centred on aligning the Swiss portfolio with the Somali Federal Government priorities, including National Development Plan NDP-10, housing, population census, and enhancing aid architecture.
Minister Beenebeene expressed gratitude to the visiting delegation, thanking the his appreciation to the Swedish government for its continued unwavering support to Somalia.
The delegation extended appreciations to the minister for the cordial reception, pledging the unflinching support by the Swedish government in helping the Somalia government achieve its National Development Plan.
Sweden is one of the largest donors and supports Somalia in peacebuilding, democracy, human rights and equal health, as well as issues related to the environment, climate and energy.
