The President of Somalia his Excellency Hasan Sheikh Mohamoud and the Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid have in one voice given tier support to the United States of America resuming its diplomacy activities in Somalia.
This comes after the foreign secretary of the USA Mr. John F Kerry has on the 5th of May paid official visit to Mogadishu.
The diplomatic relation between Somalia and America is to officially open the American Embassy in Somalia. “We are highly welcoming the decision taken by the American government to officially open its embassy in Mogadishu and this will strengthen the diplomatic relations between the two countries, and soon the President of the United States of America Barrack Obama will appoint an ambassador whose base will be in the Somali capital Mogadishu†says a joint communiqué by the President and the PM.
The American government has recognized the federal government of Somalia in the year 2013, when the President of Somalia met his American counterpart in the White House.
