The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), held a meeting today with the National Security Advisor of Iraq, Mr. Qasim Al-Araji.
The focus of the meeting was on enhancing security cooperation, combating terrorism, and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the discussions, both sides addressed the improvement of security cooperation and military training, with an emphasis on reinforcing regional security.
Minister Fartaag expressed his gratitude to Mr. Al-Araji for Iraq’s support and expertise provided to Somalia, stressing the importance of continued collaboration. For his part, Mr. Qasim Al-Araji reiterated Iraq’s commitment to supporting Somalia, particularly in technical assistance, training, and counter-terrorism efforts.
