Somalia’s interior minister Abdurahman Mohamed Hussein has removed from post two veteran Mogadishu commissioners in a press decree released on Tuesday. The minster has fired Hodan and Dharkenley districts commissioners and appointed new officials for the positions.
In a landmark appointment, senior Female journalist Hawa Kiin Mohamed has been appointed to head Hodan district, replacing former commissioner Abdukadir Ali Kulane. Mogadishu mayor Hassan Hussein has suggested the change in an attempt to heighten ongoing region developments.
The minster’s decree also appointed Cumar Meyre Macaw as the new Dharkanley commissioner. Somalia’s capital Mogadishu has been recuperating from the civil amid international investors are pouring Somalia to invest it again.
