Somali Intelligence and Security Agency NISA have on Thursday foiled an attempted car bomb attack on Mogadishu Maka Al Muakarama hotel.
According to Somali National News Agency (SONNA) the police are also holding the driver of the car who pleaded guilty of trying to blow up the hotel in the capital Mogadishu which was also targeted several times before by armed group Alshabaab.

Sources have told Radio Dalsan that community leaders, politicians and civil society groups were meeting at Maka Al Mukarama hotel on Thursday discussing the performance of the Somali government four years in office.
The meeting was interrupted and postponed due to security purpose.
More than 20 people were killed including state minister for environment when car bomb attack followed by gun fire from Alshabaab militants was targeted Ambassador hotel in Mogadishu on 2nd June.
