The Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Abdulqadir Cilmi Ali, today held a meeting with the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Somalia, George Conway, accompanied by other senior officials.

The meeting focused on strengthening the relationship and collaboration between the United Nations agencies and the Ministry. Discussions also highlighted support for the Ministry’s priority programs, which are critical to Somalia’s state-building efforts, peace, and national prosperity.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation, coordinating efforts on key governance and reconciliation initiatives, and ensuring that joint programs effectively contribute to sustainable development, security, and the advancement of national priorities.
