Reports we are getting from Galkacyo says angry soldiers occupied the central bank of Puntland in Galkacyo town in the early hours on Wednesday, police says.
“Graveness relating over salary issues caused by the strike made by soldiers, the soldiers surrender to the Bank and they were angry forces armed of heavy guns and other weapons†residents says.
The soldiers in armored personnel carriers arrived at Bank and immediately granted workers passage out of the building according to witnesses.
Some of the employees could be seen rallying outside the Bank.
It’s not the first time that Puntland angry troops seizes a Galkacyo bank.
