The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, has laid the foundation for a new judiciary building that will be constructed in a modern manner, in line with the ongoing process of reforming the country’s judiciary.
The Prime Minister stated that the implementation of this construction will significantly contribute to improving the services provided by the country’s judiciary institutions to the Somali people.
He described this as a major step toward addressing the needs of the justice sector.
“The implementation of this building is a positive step to address the shortcomings in the country’s justice system, such as the lack of offices, marking the beginning of the modernization process for the judiciary and facilitating the services offered to the Somali public,” said the Prime Minister.
The event was attended by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Minister of Justice and Constitution, the Attorney General, and various officials from the country’s judiciary institutions.
