Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has on Wednesday received Qatari Ambassador to Somalia, Dr Abdullahi Bin Salem Al Nuaimi at the Presidential Palace in the capital Mogadishu.
The two sides engaged discussions on ways and strategies to bolstering the existing diplomatic and bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Mohamud expressed gratitude to the Qatar government for its unwavering continued support to Somalia in different areas including security and economic development.
He underscored the significance of enhanced cooperation in combatting with Al-Shabab militant group that has posing danger to the Somali people.
The President, pledge his administration’s commitment to heightening the ongoing war against terrorism.
Ambassador Al Nuaimi, thanked the Head of State for the meeting, commending the President for the recent victories achieved by Somalia in various fields including the lifting of arms embargo and debt relief.
The Envoy reiterated the undivided support by Qatar’s government in enhancing support to Somalia in a bid to make it a fully-fledged State.
