Interior Minister launches Dowlad-Kaab High-Level Committee meeting in Mogadishu.
The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Ali Yusuf Ali (Hoosh), officially inaugurated the High-Level Committee meeting of the Dowlad-Kaab Project in Mogadishu.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Ministry, federal government officials, representatives from Federal Member States, the Banadir Regional Administration, and representatives from United Nations agencies.
Members of the Dowlad-Kaab Project High-Level Committee, comprising different tiers of government and international partners, discussed the project’s importance in decentralizing public services and strengthening state-building efforts across the country.
During the session, participants reviewed projects implemented in various Federal Member States. The committee also approved the 2026–2027 action plan aimed at advancing service delivery and institutional development.
Officials emphasized that the Dowlad-Kaab initiative plays a critical role in enhancing governance structures, promoting coordination between federal and regional authorities, and accelerating Somalia’s state-building agenda.
