Somalia’s ministry of information mourns veteran media official Hussein Ahmed Qoryooley
Hussein Ahmed Qoryooley, a veteran Somali media official who held several key leadership roles at the Ministry of Information, passed away in Marka today. The Ministry expressed deep condolences to his family and prayed for his eternal peace.
The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Somalia, led by Minister Daa’uud Aweys Jaama, along with Deputy Minister Abdirahmaan Yuusuf Omar Al-Adaala, Director General Abdullaahi Hayir Duale, department directors, and ministry staff, expressed deep condolences to the family and relatives of the late Hussein Ahmed Qoryooley, who passed away today in Marka, the capital of Lower Shabelle.
Xuseen Axmed Qoryooley held several key positions within the Ministry of Information, including Director of Radio Mogadishu, Director of National Media, Director of General Operations at the Ministry, and Head of the Radio Mogadishu Archives. His decades of service significantly contributed to the development of Somalia’s media landscape.
The Ministry prayed for the late Qoryooley, asking Allah to grant him mercy and paradise, and offered condolences to his family, wishing them patience and strength during this difficult time.
