Arsenal could let three star players leave in January transfer window
Arsenal open to offers for Martinelli, White, and Jesus in January transfer window.
Arsenal may see at least three of their top players depart when the January transfer window opens, according to reports. The Daily Mail says the Gunners are willing to listen to offers for three key squad members under manager Mikel Arteta.
The Premier League club spent over £250 million last summer on eight new signings, including Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Piero Hincapie. The new arrivals quickly adapted to the team and have been instrumental in helping Arsenal maintain their position at the top of the league, remaining unbeaten in 14 matches.
Although Arsenal are not planning to bring in new players in January, the club is reportedly open to letting three players leave if suitable offers are made.
The players most likely to move are Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White, and Gabriel Jesus. Martinelli, who drew interest from Saudi Pro League clubs last summer, has started the season steadily, but his contract with Arsenal runs out next summer.
Ben White, meanwhile, has struggled for game time this season after losing his starting position to Jurrien Timber. The Mail report notes that Arsenal are “open to offers” for the 28-year-old.
The club’s willingness to consider departures comes as they focus on maintaining momentum in the Premier League and preparing for the second half of the season.
