Mogadishu, Somalia – Deputy Commissioner of Security and Politics for Banadir region, Mohamed Yabooh, and General Secretary of the regional administration, Faysal Araale, embarked on a visit to various parts of Yaqshid district in Mogadishu to assess the prevailing security situation.
The inspection, accompanied by Yaqshid district governor Suleiman Mohamud Mohamed and district security officers, concluded that the security of the capital city is commendable.
During the inspection, Deputy Commissioner Yabooh held individual interviews with members of the community and local businessmen, engaging in conversations over cups of tea with elders and residents present in public spaces.
Yabooh emphasized that these inspections would become a regular feature, underlying the importance of active community participation in ensuring security.
He urged residents to collaborate with the district administration and security agencies to thwart any potential plots orchestrated by the Al-Shabaab group.
The district commissioner of Yaqshid, Suleiman Fargah expressed his satisfaction with the security situation in the district and the overall capital, highlighting the rapid development occurring in the area.
“The security situation in the district is very good, and we have conducted a highly valuable inspection. Banadir region’s security is robust, and we must remain vigilant against any threats posed by our adversaries.” Fargah stated.
Governor Fargah further affirmed the readiness of the Yaqshid district administration to counter any enemy plots with the assistance of the police and security departments. He expressed gratitude to the district’s police and security personnel for their dedication and efforts in maintaining a secure environment.
Recent months have witnessed a significant improvement in the security situation, enabling residents of Mogadishu to conduct business transactions and move about freely even during nighttime. This positive development has fostered an atmosphere of stability and confidence among the city’s inhabitants.
As Banadir region officials continue to prioritize security inspections and community engagement, it is anticipated that their proactive measures will contribute to the ongoing progress in enhancing overall security in Mogadishu.
