Jubaland Ministry of Health hosts quarterly meeting on maternal and child health
Jubaland’s Ministry of Health convenes RHWG meeting to review reproductive health achievements and plan future strategies
Mohamed Hussein Mohamed, Director General of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Jubaland, officially opened the quarterly meeting of the Reproductive Health Working Group (RHWG), focusing on reviewing achievements, addressing challenges, and planning future strategies related to maternal and child health.
The meeting emphasized improving maternal and child healthcare services, with a particular focus on reducing maternal and infant mortality rates and strengthening overall healthcare delivery in the region.
Key participants included Ismail Ali Mahmoud, Director of Health Services; Najmo Abdiqadir, Head of Reproductive Health; senior officials from the Ministry of Health; and representatives from partner health organizations operating in Jubaland.
The RHWG meeting serves as a platform to coordinate efforts among government and partner organizations, ensuring effective implementation of reproductive health programs and enhancing the quality of care for mothers and children.
