The Somali military court has executed two members of the militant Group al-Shabab in Mogadishu.
The convict, Abdulle Ahmed Mumin and Omar Adan Mohamed were found guilty of all charges levelled against them and sentenced to death by the firing squad.
They were both found guilty of killing officials of the Federal Government Ali Abdulle Mohamed and Abdullahi Mohamed Hilowle.
Hassan Ali Nur Shute, chairman of the Somali National Armed Forces military court, attended the execution carried by officials of the Somali Military Court.
Al-Shabab has networks of cells activated on a need basis which conduct coordinated attacks and targets across Somalia.
The Somali government has vowed to quash and put an end to Islamists who have besieged governments in Mogadishu for over 15 years.
