The National Police Service has released the profiles of five suspects wanted for connections with the Somali-based Al Shabaab terror group.
The Police are appealing to Kenyans to volunteer information that may lead to their arrest.
This comes in the wake of several terror attacks in Garissa and Lamu counties adding that the five men are linked to previous attacks.
The five are:
Abdikadir Mohamed Abdikadir aka Ikrima
According to the DCI, Ikrima is a close associate to Al-Shabaab’s top leaders and previously worked under Harun Fazul, Abdi Godane, Salim Saleh Swaleh Nabhan, Al-Shabaab former leaders. Ikrima who holds Somalia and Norway Citizenship is believed to have coordinated attacks on countries within the horn of Africa. They say that he is directly associated with the 2010 Kampala attack in Uganda as well as the West Gate and Dusit attacks in Kenya respectively.
Ramadhan Kioko Aka Pinji ak Abu Nuseiba
Kioki is a Kenyan from Majengo area in Nairobi who was recruited into violent extremism by AHMED IMAN, a former Al-Shabaab leader responsible for propaganda and recruitment of Kenyan youth from Nairobi’s Majengo area. Police say that he joined Al-Shabaab in 2008 and is currently a Jaysh Ayman group member.
