Federal government and Somali Future Council hold inaugural technical committee meeting in Mogadishu

On Wednesday, the two technical committees representing the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and the Somali Future Council held their first official meeting in Mogadishu.

The meeting brought together representatives from both sides in a collaborative and constructive atmosphere, highlighting a shared commitment to advancing critical national issues. The discussions focused on establishing mutual understanding and identifying pathways for effective cooperation on matters of national importance.

The second session of the meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, 29 January 2026, to continue discussions and follow up on the progress made during today’s inaugural gathering.

The meeting reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen dialogue, coordination, and joint problem-solving between the Federal Government and the Somali Future Council, with the aim of achieving tangible progress on key governance and national priorities.
