Laftagareen reaffirms commitment to strengthening regional security.

The President of South West State of Somalia, AbdiazizHassan Mohamed Laftagareen, paid a visit to units of the South West State Dervish Forces who are currently preparing to strengthen regional security and safeguard state institutions.

During the visit, President Laftagareen reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting and enhancing the capacity of the forces to effectively carry out their national duties, including defending the country, protecting governance structures, and combating armed groups that threaten peace and stability.

The visit forms part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to reinforce security, rebuild public institutions, and ensure lasting peace for communities across South West State. Officials noted that the engagement also serves as motivation for security personnel to diligently fulfill their responsibilities.
