Jubbaland holds review and consultation meeting on last year’s Auditor General recommendations

A review and consultation meeting to assess the implementation of last year’s recommendations by the Jubbaland Auditor General officially opened at a hotel in Kismayo.

The meeting, organized by the Office of the Auditor General of Jubbaland, brought together Jubbaland parliamentarians and officials from various finance ministries.

The purpose of the meeting was to review previous recommendations, accelerate their implementation, and strengthen transparency, accountability, and good governance across government institutions.

Aadan Xareed Ali, the Auditor General of Jubbaland, opened the session, emphasizing the importance of tracking annual recommendations to ensure effective accountability within public institutions.

Speaking at the event, Abdirashid Diriye Osman, Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Jubbaland House of Representatives, praised the Auditor General’s work in promoting accountability. He further urged all stakeholders to reinforce financial systems, transparency, and good governance practices.
