Egypt strongly affirms support for Somalia’s sovereignty amid Israeli interference concerns

Egypt has firmly stated that it will not accept any interference by Israel in the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, describing such actions as a significant threat to the unity of Somali lands.

The statement was issued following an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) requested by Somalia to address reports of Israeli interference and its potential impact on Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial cohesion.

In its statement, Egypt reiterated its unconditional support for the Federal Government of Somalia and emphasized the critical importance of preserving the country’s unity and territorial integrity.

Additionally, Cairo called on the international community to respect Somalia’s territorial sovereignty and to engage in coordinated efforts to support the country’s stability and security.

Egypt concluded its statement by reaffirming its consistent stance on Somalia, stressing that the nation’s unity, independence, and territorial cohesion must be respected and upheld.
