Somalia’s Minister of Family and Human Rights meets UN-women officials to boost women’s rights programs
The Minister of the Ministry of Family and Human Rights, Ambassador Khadiija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, met with UN-Women’s Head of Programmes, Ms. Rukia Mohamed, in Mogadishu.
The Minister of the Ministry of Family and Human Rights of the Federal Government of Somalia, Ambassador Khadiija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, held a meeting in Mogadishu with the Head of Programmes at UN-Women, Ms. Rukia Mohamed.
The meeting focused on strengthening and accelerating cooperation between UN-Women and the Ministry, particularly in areas related to the advancement of women’s rights.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Al-Makhzoumi expressed her gratitude to UN-Women for their continued support and cooperation with the Ministry. Members of UN-Women also commended the Ministry for the progress and momentum in its ongoing work.
The Minister was accompanied by the Ministry’s Director General, Mohamed Bashir Omar. The meeting is part of a series of engagements aimed at accelerating the Ministry’s programs in collaboration with its key partners.
