Jubbaland Vice President welcomes ministers to Gedo to assess drought conditions.

The Vice President of the Jubbaland Government, Mohamud Sayid Aadan, held a welcome meeting with the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and the Minister of Minerals, Energy, and Water Resources of the Jubbaland Government.

The meeting was also attended by the Speaker of the Jubbaland Parliament and the Deputy Commissioner for Security and Political Affairs of Baladxaawo District.

The ministers visited the Gedo region to assess the ongoing drought affecting districts in the area. Following this, the ministers’ delegation proceeded to Doolow District, where they are set to meet the Drought Committee of Doolow and the District Commissioner.
