Somali Embassy in South Africa holds consultative meeting with scholars, elders, and imams in Cape Town.

The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to South Africa, Mohamed Sheikh Isxaaq, held an extensive consultative and information-sharing meeting with sections of the Somali religious scholars, traditional elders, and several mosque imams in Cape Town.

The well-organized meeting aimed at strengthening relations and cooperation between the Embassy and the Somali community, while also providing a platform to directly listen to the concerns, challenges, and needs of community members.

During the discussions, Ambassador Mohamed Sheikh Isxaaq emphasized the importance of unity, solidarity, and collaboration among the Somali community in South Africa. He encouraged participants to work together to enhance their collective reputation and positively contribute to the society in which they live.

The Ambassador further underscored the significance of maintaining close coordination with the Embassy, noting that constructive engagement and open communication are essential in addressing community issues effectively and advancing shared interests.

Community representatives welcomed the initiative, describing it as an important step toward reinforcing mutual understanding and strengthening ties between the Embassy and the Somali diaspora in Cape Town.
