Haramcad Special Forces Graduate from TURKSOM Training Program
The Commander of the Haramcad Special Police Unit, Major Abdikhakiin Siciid, has officiated the graduation of the unit’s 3rd Battalion, 1st Company after completing intensive training at the TURKSOM Academy. The ceremony, attended by Turkish Ozel Harekat officers and Somali security officials, highlights ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s security forces through advanced capacity-building programs.
The Commander of the Haramcad Special Police Unit, Major Abdikhakiin Siciid, today presided over the graduation ceremony of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Company of the Haramcad forces, who have completed a specialized training program at the TURKSOM Military Academy.
The closing ceremony was attended by officers from Türkiye’s Ozel Harekat (Special Operations Command) and other senior security officials. The training, conducted over recent months, forms part of ongoing efforts by the Federal Government of Somalia to strengthen and professionalize the country’s armed forces.
Officials emphasized that the program aims to build a capable, disciplined, and well-trained security force equipped to respond effectively to national security challenges.
