One person was injured in an explosion in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital, on Thursday morning, police and witnesses claimed.
The passer-by further added that the blast was caused by an improvised electronic device attached to a luxury car that went off in the Hamarweyne district, specifically near the Via Roma intersection.
According to the police officers who sealed off the bombing scene, a woman was seriously injured in the explosion and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
This comes amidst heightened security in the capital ahead of Ramadan.
