In a show of solidarity and humanitarian support, the Ethiopian forces, under the auspices of the #AUSSOM mission, have distributed essential food supplies to vulnerable families in Baydhabo, Somalia.
The food aid, which includes staples such as rice, pasta, sugar, bread, and cooking oil, was delivered to elderly citizens and individuals with disabilities, who are among the most at-risk groups in the region.
The Deputy Commander of the 3rd Division, Senior Colonel Soboka Bekele, confirmed that the aid aims to alleviate hardships during the holy month of Ramadan, offering critical support to those facing significant economic challenges.
In response to the gesture, Isaaq Mohamed Ali, the Deputy Mayor of Baydhabo for Security and Political Affairs, expressed his gratitude to the Ethiopian military for their continued support. He praised the forces for their unwavering commitment to addressing the community’s needs and their role in the region’s stability.
