Somali scholars national conference enters day three in mogadishu
The 3rd Somali Scholars’ Conference has entered its third day, with proceedings continuing at a rapid pace in Mogadishu.
Organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, the conference focuses on critical academic discussions regarding the role of good governance in promoting stability and advancing Somali society.
Today's sessions highlighted debates on national security, particularly the successes of the Somali National Army against extremist groups, and explored how these experiences can be leveraged to strengthen the country’s overall security.
The event is attended by the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Mukhtaar Robow, members of both chambers of the Federal Parliament, and scholars and religious leaders from across Somalia and abroad.
Participants were given the opportunity to pose questions to scholars, professors, and experts engaged in the discussions, creating an open forum for professional deliberation on issues concerning religion, governance, and security.
The conference is expected to continue over the coming days, with recommendations and key points anticipated to emerge that will contribute to the advancement of governance and societal development in Somalia.
