Armed group Alshabaab has executed two Kenyan citizens among its fighters for spying.
Jared Mukae Ombamba 31 from Eldoret and 22 years old Abdullah Faraj from Mombasa,Kenya were shot dead by the militants for allegedly spying for Kenya and western intelligence agencies.
Three other people were killed by the group earlier accused of giving information that led to the killing of Alshabaab founder Ahmed Godane on September 2014.
The spy related execution by the group follows aday after it suffered heavy casualties during attempted attack on African Union and Somali army base in Halgan 300 KM south of the capital Mogadishu.
