Armed group Al Shabaab has said its fighters shot and killed Somali Member of Parliament in Mogadishu Wadajir district on Saturday afternoon.
Abdullahi Hussein Mohamed was shot dead by gunmen armed with pistols alongside his two guards.
His father who was too an MP in Somali national assembly was killed months ago.
Al Shabaab which is fighting to topple internationally backed government has increased targeted attacks on government officials since pushed out of the capital years ago.
Since 2012 when the new parliament was formed, more than ten legislators have been gunned down in Mogadishu. Most of the assassinations have been claimed by al-Shabaab yet others is believed to be politically motivated.
