Somalia and Qatar have explored deeper cooperation in digital government services, ICT infrastructure, and cybersecurity during a high-level meeting at MWC Doha 2025
Somalia’s State Minister for Communications and Technology, Ahmed Diri, held a high-level meeting with Qatar’s Minister of Communications and Technology, Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, during the ongoing MWC Doha 2025 conference.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Somalia and Qatar, particularly in digital government services, ICT infrastructure development, and cybersecurity enhancement.
Minister Diri briefed his Qatari counterpart on Somalia’s ongoing efforts to modernize public services and implement a digital system aimed at improving citizen access to government services.
In response, Minister Al Mannai emphasized Qatar’s readiness to expand its support, including initiatives in digital governance programs, government workforce training, and the advancement of modern communications services.
The meeting reflects growing collaboration between the two countries in leveraging technology to enhance governance, service delivery, and national security.
