Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdisaalaam Abdi Ali, held a meeting with Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Somalia, Suleyman Dedefu Woshe.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Somalia and Ethiopia, with both sides reviewing the overall situation in the Horn of Africa, particularly on security matters.
Both officials emphasized the importance of continuing bilateral collaboration to address existing challenges and to strengthen regional stability, peace, and development. They also agreed that each country should respect the sovereignty and unity of the other to prevent conflict and unrest.
Ethiopia remains a key contributor to the AUSSOM mission, with its troops deployed along border areas and in parts of southern Somalia to support security operations.
