More 120 Somali refugees have returned back to their country from Kenyan refugee camps from where they lived since the break out of the civil war in early 1990s.
The plane carrying the citizens touched down at Kismayo International airport on Wednesday.
Officials from Juba regional state of Somalia who awaiting the arrival of the refugees has welcomed them back home.
The regional state administration has thanked UN refugee agency UNHCR for facilitating the process and promised to help the returnees as far as resettlement and integration is concerned.
Hundreds of Somali refugees have returned back home since armed group Al shabaab was pushed out from most part of the country and many are opting to return home as peace and stability returns.
Kenya, Somalia and UNHCR have on October 2013 signed tripartite agreement to repatriate Somali refugees back home independently.
