IED Explosion Targets Gov’t Forces In Mogadishu

Three Somali Police officers were injured in an IED explosion while on patrol along the October 27 road in Mogadishu, Radio Dalsan reports.

The IED explosion took place minutes after 7am in the industrial part of the Somali capital.

 

According to Police sources, the IED  had been set up on the road a few meters away from Mogadishu’s former cigarette factory.

 

Alshabaab has claimed responsibililty through an affiliated website claiming at least two security personnel were killed in the explosion.
