“As the holy month of Ramadan begins, I wish all the Somali Muslim communities a blessed and joyful Ramadan Kareem,” he said.

“It is a time for thoughtful reflection, fasting and devotion that brings together millions of Somalis in Somalia and around the world to celebrate the principles of peace, justice and equality.” he added.

Ramadan is a special month that provides spiritual nourishment and reinforces appreciation for universal values.
